WordPress programming info?

FAQ on top hosting company: I want to have my own website and use a company to host and put wordpress on top of the site. I want to start a blog but i don’t know how to code my own website. Do i need to know how to code html or does wordpress help you with organizing your site by using templates and everything. Also do i need a program like frontpage or something like that
Okay so if i choose a theme i do not need to know how to add text and like the archives and everything else on there by coding. So it is possible to have a working website without knowing how to code

Free domain name question?

FAQ on top hosting company: Why is it that companies offer free hosting that’s top notch but no free tlds? Does anyone know a place where I can get a free tld?
Please don’t give me domainlagoon.com or anotherfree.com as a place to get a tld because when I click there, all it ever gives is an exclamation mark. Are there any other places where I can complete offers and get a top level domain name?

So can any martial artist enter the UFC?

FAQ on top hosting company: I just asked a question about MMA which lead me to another one.

Since UFC stands for Ultimate Fighting Championship, couldn’t any martial artist who wanted to try and compete enter? Wikipedia says the UFC is a mixed martial arts promotion company that hosts most of the top-ranked fighters in the world. If MMA is just any blend of at least two martial art styles does that mean anyone can enter?

I don’t understand how it works. Would you need a promoter? If so, wouldn’t that defeat the point of competing and instead be more for glamor? Who’d then be promoting who?

My site was disabled for false copyright How does this affect my pae rank?

FAQ on top hosting company: A competitor of mine cried copyright infringement on my site. As per the DMCA my hosting company had to shut ‘er down. Months later after all of the dust has settled, my site is back up and the scumbag is no longer allowed to file copyright infringement complaints. Yes. A big fat law suit is headed his way.

But, my domain is not showing up on top of hundreds of search results anymore like it was before this happened. All of my quality back links are still all in place (most of them) I took a chance and rebuilt it in Adobe Flash.

I built another site with static pages that links to the flash site and visa versa.

What should I do here?

Coincidence? Or did I get on Google's bad side?

FAQ on top hosting company: I have a website that was doing pretty well earlier this year. Very targeted to a specific group of people in a specific state. About 15,000 impressions per month. Majority of my traffic came from Google.

I had some problems and forgot to pay my hosting company. My site was down for over a week in June!

Now I am getting more like 3,000 impressions per month. And I have totally disappeared for my top key words.

I know. My site disappeared. I don’t deserve to be #1 any more. But seriously, I checked the first 10 pages of search results and couldn’t find me anywhere! Does anybody have an idea when/if I might regain my previous spot?
I hope I regain my spot soon! … I am trying to rearrange my schedule to make more time for adding content in hopes that will help get their attention.

How do I put a blog on my website?

FAQ on top hosting company: I am very uneducated about web design, but managed to set up my own site using FTP and space that my dad owns, so I’m not published through a hosting company.
My site looks okay, but on my homepage I simply want a nice box where I can publish updates,etc. that can contain a photo and are not restricted in length like the facebook status I already feed onto my site.

How do I somehow make my website load just the blog from someplace like blogger or webpress in a box that I designate on my homepage? I don’t want it to load their whole frame inside my own framed site.

I am so confused. Help!

How do I convert a PC to a Server?

FAQ on top hosting company: What do I need to do to turn my desk top computer into a web server to run my home-based business off of.
There are numerous alternatives now to use (i.e. osCommerce) instead of paying a company (like web.com) to host your website.
What I need to know is how to convert a PC into a server & can it still function as a PC or will I need to get another computer to use as a stand alone PC?

Is there a forum host that allows you to…?

FAQ on top hosting company: Some of these things.

1. Has minimal adverts (so not at top, bottom and after each post.)

2. Allows you to add mods – (if their is one that does this and you tell me i give you best answer).

3. Has great support.

4. Has good domain (so not yoursite.freeforums.com)

5. Has a lot of preinstalled mods such as the Cash mod, Karma and Arcade.

Or, alternativley, is their a free hosting company that you can host a phpbb forum with.
