Review of Godaddy Reseller Program

Why is Godaddy Reseller Program better than many other web hosts including Hostgator? Godaddy’s program has 50 products to choose from including hosting, domains, private domain registration, SSL, website builder, email and hosted Exchange. No need to have your own customer support because Godaddy handles support for you. Godaddy handles the billing, support and direct marketing for you too.

How does Domain Parking and Domain Forwarding affect search results?

FAQ on top hosting company: I have several domain names registered through GoDaddy.com
I have a separate hosting company which is hosting the "main" domain website. Now, some of the owned domain names are similar to the "host" domain, and some are not. For example, if my website is "MyExampleSite.com"… several of the domains I own are variations like "MyExampleSites.com" or "My-Example-Site.com" etc. But, I also own domains that are not similar spelling to the main site… like "NotSimilar.com" or "MyName.com", but I would still like these to get forwarded to "MyExampleSite.com"

Currently, I’m paying a fee to have the similar domain names "parked" on the main site. However, GoDaddy offers a free "domain forwarding" service which I’m using for the non-similar domains. Now, I’m considering just forwarding the similar domains through GoDaddy instead of paying to have them parked by my hosting company.

My concern is this:
How will this affect my search listings in Google?
Because, right now, if a user types in "My-Example-Site.com" into Google Search, some pages from my actual website at http://www.MyExampleSite.com would be at the top of the search results. However; if a user types in "NotSimilar.com" or "MyName.com" into google search, http://www.MyExampleSite.com won’t appear in the search results…

So, is the higher search result ranking because "My-Example-Site.com" is "parked" rather than just "forwarded"? Or, is it simply because "My-Example-Site.com" looks a lot like "MyExampleSite.com" and "MyName.com"?
If I stop parking "My-Example-Site.com" and simply forward it, will pages from http://www.MyExampleSite.com no longer appear at the top of the search results?

Yahoo webhosting? What's a good web host?

FAQ on top hosting company: Every Top 10 Hosting Plans list I see is different. So those don’t offer much help.

Bluehost I’ve never heard of but keeps emerging as one of the best.

I’m currently using godaddy which I REALLY DISLIKE. It’s tortuous. Everytime you buy a domain, you’re blasted with screens of more options to buy crap. I dislike godaddy hosting.

I have about 8 domains and a hosting package currently on godaddy so if I switched I’d need to be able to transfer those.

I REALLY like yahoo’s search engine and answers! area, etc. But I am not sure about there webhosting.

Would need

– ecommerce (i’m going to be selling audio products, documents, and possibly video products from the site. So auto-downloading of a purchased product is a must (I know ejunkie offers that but that’s too small scale).

–Site analytics!!! I MUST have site analytics!

– domain transfer ease

–quality cPanel installs

– low cost etc.

Thanks. Bluehost was the top of this one list, so I may check them out.

Customer for years… raised my rate without warning. Restricted number of emails I could send. Requested an increase and got the run around. Was told to write to someone in particular and they never wrote back or responded to any calls. POOR customer service so switched. Must be nice to be making enough $$ to not care about service anymore.

NOT UNLIMITED SPACE===against the contract you can put only 50000 files . 100K jpg x 50000 =5G Precisely LIMITED 5Gb

It charges separately when server loads are increasing. .

this company requested additional money when Our Server ‘s CPU quota are increasing.

Worst Swindle Company Blue host LIMITED 50000 FILES!!.

If you review a hosting company do not choose this company. Unlimited web space is the lie. YOU CAN ONLY PUT 50000FILES. If you put over 50000 files. Following mail come to you. >>>>>> Our reseach shows that server performance degrades when accounts have over 50,000 files. In order to ensure optimal performance for your account and the others in your shared hosting environment, we request that you reduce the number of files on your account to under 50,000 by—2009 Proper maintenance of your account will ensure the best performance for your website. If you are unable to comply with these requests your account will be automatically deactivated on -/-/2009 to maintain proper server performance. Thank you for your help in resolving this issue.

I just received the mail from BLUEHOST.com >>> It has come to our attention that your site is using an excessive number of files stored on your BlueHost.Com account. This is causing performance problems on your website as well as for other customers that are on this server. It can cause our servers to crash and cause additional downtime. Our reseach shows that server performance degrades when accounts have over 50,000 files. In order to ensure optimal performance for your account and the others in your shared hosting environment, we request that you reduce the number of files on your account to under 50,000 by 06/10/2009. you can set up Only 50000 files!!@@
